Cora in gold glowing on the windowsill on a November evening, dark outside

Turn off the big light. Turn on the bird.

The big light makes everything equally bright. Cora does the opposite: a warm glow at table height, from a lamp that's as much an ornament as a light source.

The light comes from its white belly and settles in a soft circle on the table, while the rest of the room is allowed to stay darker. Pop it in the window, on the bedside table or on the chest of drawers in the hallway — there's no cable to run and no socket to hunt for.

Five o'clock in November: the kitchen at dusk, Cora glowing on the kitchen table next to a mug of tea

It's five o'clock and already dark outside.

You put the big light on because there's nothing else. Everything turns equally bright, flat and a little cold, and the room feels like a waiting room.

Switch on Cora and turn off the big light. Same room, same November evening — but now there's a warm glow at table height, and the dark outside the window can stay where it is.

Cora in silver held up in two hands – cordless and switched on

One tap on the head. That's the whole manual.

No switch on the cable, no remote to dig out of the sofa. You rest a finger on the bird's head — it switches on. The same finger dims it.

The battery does the rest. Cora charges via USB in 1–3 hours and then glows for up to 50+ hours. Take it to bed with you, pop it in the window, leave it in the children's room overnight. No holes, no cables, no electrician.

Silver, gold or wood?

  • Cora in silver

    Silver

Glossy chrome that reflects the room. For the pared-back home.

  • Cora in gold

    Gold

A polished gold tone. The warmth of the glow, echoed in the bird itself.

  • Cora in light wood

    Light wood

A light wood finish. The one that blends right in on the bedside table.

  • Cora in dark wood

    Dark wood

A dark wood finish. The most contrast against the white belly.

Where it earns its keep.

  • Cora in silver on the bedside table, as tall as the glass of water

    The bedside table

The last light to go off — with one tap, no fumbling for the switch.

  • Cora in light wood dimmed as a night light on a shelf in a child's bedroom

    The children's room

Dimmed to a soft glow. The battery lasts all night.

  • Cora in dark wood on the desk beside a notebook and mug

    The desk

A warm light beside the screen when the big light is off.

  • Cora on the chest of drawers in the hallway

    The hallway

The first thing you switch on when you get home — instead of the big light.
Cora in light wood being handed over as a gift, with wrapping paper and string on the table

The gift that doesn't end up in a drawer.

Most gifts get used once. Cora stays out on display and gets switched on every evening — for someone who's just moved in, for someone who already has everything, for a child who wants a light of their own by the bed.

Nothing to install, nothing to get wrong. No bulb fitting to keep track of, no shade to match. You choose the finish; the rest is sorted. A Christmas present, a housewarming gift or just because — and if you take two, the price gets better: one for you, one to give away.

Frequently asked questions

With a tap on the head. No switch, no remote — the bird's head is the button.
Yes. You dim it by touching the head — the same spot that switches it on.
Warm white 3000 K on the warm setting — the same end of the scale as a classic filament bulb, nothing bluish. You can switch the tone up to 6000 K, which is white and crisp. The warm setting is the one you'll live in of an evening.
It depends on the brightness: 3–5 hours at 100%, 6–8 hours at 75%, 18–20 hours at 50% and 50+ hours at 25%. The battery is 1,800 mAh and charges via USB in 1–3 hours.
No. Just put it wherever you want it. No screws, no holes, no cable — and not a mark left behind in a rented flat.
No. The body is plastic (ABS and PC) with a printed wood finish — or a glossy silver or gold tone. The white belly is the part that glows, and it lets the light through evenly.
Yes, a keyring for hanging comes in the box. It isn't fitted to the lamp.
No. Cora is controlled by touching its head, nothing else.
No, the LED is built in. Nothing to screw in, nothing to replace.
